![]() ![]() The quality is not too bad either but the colours were not as vivid. You are right Kaki it does not have a view finder but did not create too much of a problem on a sunny day. I think I am going to change my tune regarding my Pentax underwater camera (Optio). I found the bag too cumbersome and frustrating! I now use the bag to hold other things in my beach bag. If you use the waterproof bag, see if you can go to the local pool and try taking pictures before your trip. I've also been able to buy two models of Canon cameras to fit in the housing so that extended the life of the case too. Once I'd found the camera that I liked, I was happy to get the case that would work with it. If I'd have to buy a second camera for land pictures, I decided to just buy the near-camera-priced case and get good shots both above and under water. Fine underwater, but on a sunny day, you can't see a thing. I have found that the Optio doesn't take land pictures to the quality I'm after and I don't like that the Optio doesn't have a viewfinder (or didn't the last time I was researching them) so you totally rely on the screen. It only takes a few trips to make you realize that for some of us, depending on usage, the case is a good investment. I liked to get them put on a CD so I'd add that $2 cost. To get a good deal on photofinishing, it was $6 a camera to get the shots developed. To get a disposable camera on sale was $10 for 27 pictures. The biggest reason for me to take the plunge and pay the price was doing the math on how much the disposable cameras were costing me and how it limited the number of shots I could take as well as not being able to shoot video underwater. ![]() When you take as many pictures as I do, and knowing that the case can possibly extend the life of the camera by way of protection on the beach, it was worth the investment for me. A good quality picture means a lot to me and I noticed the difference in the pictures I'd seen taken by others. ![]()
